Making Belts and collars for a good cause.
At the Heart of Texas Leather Show in Waco, we will be making belts for underprivileged kids and homeless. With the scraps we will make Dog collars for local animal shelters.     I have used a aero stitch for 15 years. And bought a aero stitch with reverse. But ever since Jim miller died there’s no customer service. Al doesn’t seem to interested in helping out. I’m having trouble with my new aerostitch with reverse. Who should I talk to?

    Great video. I was wondering, if you use a resist before putting the antique on, does the resist not prevent the antique from penetrating through to the leather?

      @jayplays568 it keeps the antique from coloring the leather itself. This way the antique only gets caught in the tooling marks.

    Is there a reason outside of aesthetics why copper is more popular than brass? to my understanding brass is the superior metal strength wise so surly it would be a better fit for something like a bag strap?

      @AmyHahn-yn1zp I actually just did it on a belt. Not sure what angle I used bit when the lines cross right in the middle and the ends of the lines connect on the border of the belt, it looks great!

    Any tips on getting the fabric not to fray, especially along the zipper? I don't so much care about the other ends but every time I have tried to make this bag, the fabric frays all over the place and gets caught in the zipper. TIA

    I found that when adding Shearling, I have the best success by starting in the middle of my project. I have done a few of these pistol cases and found that the best method. Just my trick!
